Chapter 38 In the Cellar
Chapter 38 In the Cellar
"Bang!"
Two heavy steel plates slammed into Yue Feng's head with a deafening thud, plunging him into complete darkness.
He held Wu Shuangxue's soft, delicate body in his arms, as if he were holding a hot potato, and his body continued to sink. After an unknown amount of time, his feet suddenly trembled and he landed on solid ground.
The large bed landed right in front of him, and surprisingly, it didn't fall apart. Yue Feng used the sound to locate the bed, placed Wu Shuangxue on it, and took out a tinderbox from his pocket to light it. He saw that the four walls were desolate, and he was in a huge cellar.
Yue Feng saw several torches stuck in the cellar wall, so he went over and lit them. He then circled the cellar but found no exit. He raised his longsword, gathered his inner energy, and plunged it into the wall. Judging by the feel, the wall behind it was solid.
In this situation, even someone with unparalleled martial arts skills wouldn't be able to escape alive. Yue Feng sighed, sat back down by the bed, and couldn't help but think of the demonic sect elders in the secret cave on Mount Hua's Cliff of Contemplation. At least they had a giant axe and knew which direction to dig for a glimmer of hope. What about him? Besides the unconscious Wu Shuangxue, he only had a usable longsword.
Yue Feng, remembering Wu Shuangxue, rushed to check on her. He found her face flushed, her breathing rapid, and although bound tightly, her body was still writhing and trembling. Yue Feng knew something was wrong and dared not untie her. Instead, he helped her sit up and said loudly:
"Miss Wu! Wu Shuangxue! Can you hear me? I am Yue Feng, sent by your grandfather. I am about to pass on a secret technique to you. Listen carefully and remember it, and it will save you from your current predicament."
As Yue Feng spoke, he recited the key points of the "Exorcising Evil and Revealing Righteousness" manual specifically targeting lust to Wu Shuangxue. Wu Shuangxue's eyes were hazy, opening and closing intermittently, and from her delicate nose and mouth, she let out intermittent, heart-pounding moans. Yue Feng recited it three times in a row, but Wu Shuangxue didn't hear a single word, and her body gradually grew cold.
Yue Feng's heart skipped a beat, knowing this path was blocked. Just as he was hesitating, Wu Shuangxue suddenly raised her head, her eyes clearing, and her thin lips parted slightly as she uttered two words to Yue Feng:
"Help me."
Yue Feng sighed and untied Wu Shuangxue from her bonds. Wu Shuangxue immediately clung tightly to Yue Feng like an octopus.
She was a pure and innocent young woman who only had a vague understanding of matters between men and women, but under Yue Feng's patient guidance, she quickly became adept at it.
The fiery passion accumulated and was released time and time again, and the temperature in the cellar rose steadily in this endless cycle...
……
Unaware of dawn or dusk underground, Yue Feng and Wu Shuangxue slept and woke up repeatedly, until one of the torches on the wall suddenly went out. Wu Shuangxue abruptly spoke, but coldly said, "That's enough. I've had enough of this absurdity."
Yue Feng knew perfectly well that Wu Shuangxue's poison had long since been cured, but Wu Shuangxue didn't say anything, and he didn't ask; the two understood each other without words. He silently dressed, got out of bed, and said to Wu Shuangxue, "I'm sorry."
When Wu Shuangxue spoke again, her tone was no longer as cold as before.
"You haven't wronged me. I know Grandpa sent you to protect me. I was careless and fell into the villain's trap; that's my own fault. Rather than let that villain defile my body, I'd rather entrust it to you. Besides..."
Wu Shuangxue didn't continue, and Yue Feng, knowing better, didn't ask any more questions.
"I've already killed the madam of Qunyu Courtyard. Xu Er escaped, and I also killed the several purple-clad men who were with him. I heard from them that there's also a young Master Cao, who's the mastermind behind it all. If we can leave this place, none of them will escape."
Yue Feng looked up and around.
"Unfortunately, it seems we can't get out."
As Wu Shuangxue slowly and methodically dressed, she said, "That's not necessarily true. Look at these torches; only one has gone out after burning for so long. What does that mean? It means there are ventilation shafts in the cellar. Considering that this cellar was designed to trap people, these ventilation shafts couldn't have been left on purpose."
Yue Feng's eyes lit up: "You mean there's more to this cellar than meets the eye?"
Wu Shuangxue nodded and said, "Yes, but finding even a small ventilation shaft won't be easy. We might starve to death in the Xu family's underground before we even have a chance to find it."
Yue Feng said, "That doesn't matter. As long as there is hope, I will never give up." As he spoke, he began to search carefully on the wall. Wu Shuangxue glanced at him and wanted to get up to search with him. Suddenly, she felt a burning pain in her lower body and couldn't help but gasp and cry out in pain.
Yue Feng flew over and helped her up: "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"
Wu Shuangxue glared at him fiercely, but didn't say anything. Yue Feng's gaze shifted downwards, then immediately drifted away, and he helped her sit down on the edge of the bed.
"Take a break first. I'll look for it again and then ask you to come and help."
Wu Shuangxue nodded slightly, and Yue Feng smiled at her before going back to searching. Seeing him leaping and bounding, listening and sniffing intently, Wu Shuangxue couldn't help but smile. Just then, Yue Feng turned around, and Wu Shuangxue immediately straightened her face, asking him, "What are you looking at? Did you find it?"
Yue Feng smiled and nodded, drew his longsword, and dug a few small holes in the wall beside him. He leaped up, landing on two of the holes with his feet, grabbing one with his left hand, and thrusting his longsword almost unimpeded into a spot on the wall.
"This is it."
A moment later, Yue Feng had widened the ventilation shaft into a hole large enough for one person to crawl through. He lit a tinderbox, peered inside, looked around for a while, and then returned to Wu Shuangxue, saying, "It's quite big in there. I wonder what it is. I'll take you in first."
Wu Shuangxue was worried that Yue Feng would leave her alone in the cellar. Hearing this, although her face remained cold, she thought to herself, "This guy is quite considerate. I wonder if he's only like this with me, or with all the girls?"
She couldn't bring herself to ask that question aloud, so with Yue Feng's help, she obediently went to the cave entrance and was carried inside by him. Yue Feng's hands inevitably touched her body, feeling like two red-hot irons, making her feel hot all over.
Yue Feng followed Wu Shuangxue into the cave entrance and arrived at the other side of the wall. They stood at the corner of two passageways. Using the torchlight, Wu Shuangxue surveyed their surroundings and said to Yue Feng:
"If I'm not mistaken, this should be the underground palace of Taiping Temple Pagoda. Let's look around; maybe there's a path leading to the surface."
